Smart Wireless Privacy Statement

Smart Wireless is committed to protecting our customers' information.  In the course of providing wireless service to our customers, the Company is required to collect and store certain nonpublic information.  The purpose of this statement is to explain to our visitors the type of information Smart Wireless obtains and the security measures to prevent fraud or misuse of personal identifiable information.

Information we collect

The personal information Smart Wireless obtains is information our customer supplies voluntarily to active wireless service.   In order to prevent fraudulent wireless activations it is mandatory that a primary and secondary form of identification be witnessed and photo copied for internal compliance audits.  Primary Identification includes state issued drivers licenses, state issued identification cards, US/Canadian/Mexican Passports and US Military Identification.  This information is not sold to third party companies or used for any other purpose than to verify the customer’s identity.  Credit card information is voluntarily provided by subscribers as collateral should disconnection of service occur within the 180-day service policy.  Customers signed acknowledgement on the Smart Wireless Secondary Security Agreement states that their credit card will be used to close any open balance for equipment cost of goods that was the result of early disconnection.  Credit card information provided to Smart Wireless is considered highly confidential and is protected against fraudulent transaction activity. 

Smart Wireless in accordance with state and federal law is dedicated to preventing fraud.

Credit Evaluation

A credit evaluation is required for any prospective customer desiring a post paid wireless account.  In order to determine the user's credit worthiness their name, date of birth, and social security number is used to request a credit report from a credit-reporting agency. Once the subscriber’s credit-worthiness is established the document is destroyed.

E-mail

Smart Wireless does not send unsolicited "junk" emails or spam.  We may use email to communicate with our customers explicitly by request.  If you receive an unwanted email from the company, you can simply reply and ask not to receive future emails.
